Recently, arguments about "practical existentialism " were launched in the fields of philosophy, aesthetics, literary theory and etc. They were essentially concerned with some fundamental theoretical issues such as how to interpret Marxism, and on which Marxist philosophical bases aesthetics and literary theory to be built. This article unfolds a further discussion and argument about some significant theoretical issues in the debates about "practicalexistentialaesthetics", elaborates that "practicalexistentialaesthetics" reinterprets and re-perceives Marxist practical aesthetics, helps to eliminate the shadow of long-lasting traditional metaphysical way of thinking, and unveils the ontological or existential horizon of Marxist practical aesthetics which is of great theoretical value and significance.
