Ex nihilo: The basic logic of badiou's philosophy
The key concepts of Alain Badiou's philosophy is undoubtedly Truth-Event-Subject,which he calls the "Triplet".Of these three words,"Event" is the core concept. As the blind spot in the situation,"Event" is the sudden manifestation of non-existence.And this kind of non-existence is not nothing, but the multiple-without-One in Badiou's philosophy. So,for Badiou,Being has three dimensions:multiple-without-One;multiple;situation.It is in these multiple dimensions that "Event" can manifest itself in the form of truth and ensure the persistence of truth by producing loyal subjects.
